The Baltimore Orioles conclude their series with the rival Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday.
The Baltimore Orioles are still alive for a Wild Card but there is zero room for error. The Orioles stayed alive with a 3-2 decision at Toronto on Wednesday. O’s starter Chris Tillman gave up both runs (one earned) on six hits and three walks over 5.2 frames with four relievers putting up zeros. The Birds pounded out eleven hits with Mark Trumbo going solo while Hyun Soo Kim erased a 2-1 deficit in the 9th with a two run bomb. The Orioles are hoping Ubaldo Jimenez can continue his mini hot streak when he opposes the Blue Jays on Thursday. Jimenez has delivered quality starts in five of his last six outings.

The Toronto Blue Jays are getting hot at just the right time and need to end the year hot. The Blue Jays had won six of eight before the pen blew a late lead for a devastating defeat. Jays starter Francisco Liriano tossed 6.1 scoreless frames and struck out ten before Jason Grilli gave up a homer in the 8th with Roberto Osuna absorbing the loss with a two run homer in the top of the 9th. Toronto posted six hits and walked four times with Edwin Encarnacion and Kevin Pillar driving in runs. The Blue Jays hand the ball to Marcus Stroman Thursday hoping he can keep the team in the Wild card. Stroman comes off a 3-0 win versus the Yankees with seven scoreless frames.
The under is 51-20-1 in Baltimore’s last 72 overall. Toronto are 7-3 in their last 10 Thursday games and the Orioles are 23-56 in the last 79 meetings in Toronto. I give a slight edge to Toronto because I’m worried about Jimenez coming up big once again…
