The Toronto Blue Jays look for a win at the Boston Red Sox as they prepare for the Wild Card.
The Toronto Blue Jays had the top Wild Card seemingly locked up but nothing is ever easy. The Blue Jays stayed in the running for the top Wild Card thanks to a 4-3 win at Boston. Jays starter JA Happ allowed two runs and Jason Grilli giving up a run. Toronto mustered four hits and walked seven times with Kevin Pillar going 2-4 with three RBI’s before Ezquiel Carrera’s sac fly in the 9th won it. The Blue Jays are slated to start Aaron Sanchez against Boston for the 4th in 2016. Sanchez has allowed one run in each of his last two starts covering 12 innings of work.

The Boston Red Sox have locked up the American League East and it’s a good thing the way they have been playing. The Red Sox dropped a nail biter Saturday night even though it doesn’t matter given the American League East is wrapped up. Boston starter Eduardo Rodriguez gave up three runs for a ND with Craig Kimbrel allowing a 9th inning run to absorb the loss. Boston was held to five hits but walked six times with Chris Young leading the way with a pair runs driven in. Left hander David Price toes the rubber against the Blues Jays in the final game of the season. Price comes off of a 6-4 loss at the Yankees with all six runs allowed on 12 hits in 6.1 frames.
The under is 12-2 in Toronto’s last 14 overall and is 21-6 in their last 27 on grass while going 6-2 in Sanchez’s last 8 on grass. The under is 7-1-1 in Boston’s last 9 on grass and is 9-2-1 in their last 12 overall while going 9-3 in their last 12 games on grass. The under is 7-1 in the last 8 meetings in Boston. Neither team is trustworthy so I’ll take the better odds…
