The Chicago White Sox get one final start out of Chris Sale this season as they take on the Minnesota Twins at the Cell on Sunday.
The Twins will look to avoid dropping their 104th game of the season as they have had a disastrous campaign to say the least and they face a very stiff test here against a White Sox group that has had a disappointing season after being considered a dark horse in April. The Twins will send youngster Jose Berrios to the mound as he will match up with Chris Sale in a pitching edge that favours the home side in a very big way as Berrios has a 2-7 record with a whopping 8.61 ERA while Sale is 17-9 with a 3.25 mark and a big chip on his shoulder.

The White Sox were one of the most exciting teams to watch through the first month of the year but they quickly fell off as they couldn’t find any consistency in their game despite having a very solid roster and a rotation that is anchored by Sale and Jose Quintana. Chicago is 78-82 this season meaning they cannot finish at or above the .500 mark this season and will consider the campaign a failure but they do have some great pieces in place to rebuild with in a hurry and if they can add a piece in the offseason they could very well leapfrog into a contender as early as next year.
The Twins are 1-10 in Berrios’ last 11 starts, 0-4 in his last four road starts, and 0-5 in his last five against the AL Central while the White Sox are 6-2 in their last eight overall, 4-1 in their last five against a righty, and 5-2 in their last seven home games. The White Sox will go all out in this one in Sale’s last start of the season as they win running away.
