Seattle totaled ten hits and two free passes with Kyle Seager and Nelson Cruz going solo while Danny Valencia went 2-5 with a homer and three RBI’s. The Seattle Mariners give Monday’s starting assignment at the Houston Astros to Ariel Miranda. Miranda struggled in a 9-6 loss to the Kansas City Royals last time out with six runs given up on five hits including a pair of homers  in five  innings of work.

The Houston Astros have all but wrapped up the American League West but they want to stay sharp. The Astros have looked sharp with wins in three of four following a 5-3 win versus visiting Minnesota on Sunday behind great pitching and plenty of scoring. Stros starter Mike Fiers improved to 6-4 with a pairof runs given up on four hits including two solo homers while striking out eleven through seven innings of work. Houston did their damage on seven hits and four bases on balls with Norichika Aoki going 2-3 with a pair of RBI’s while Jake Marisnick driving in a run and scoring. The Houston Astros will be starting Lance McCullers against the Seattle Mariners Monday for the third time in 2017. McCullers comes off of a 7-4 road loss to the Toronto Blue Jays with six runs allowed (five earned) on nine hits and two BB in 4.1 frames.

The under is 7-2-2 in Seattle last 11 Monday games and the under is 7-3-1 in Miranda’s last 11 road starts while the under is 7-3-1 in Miranda’s last 11 starts overall.
