San Francisco Giants vs. San Diego Padres - 7/22/17 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The San Francisco Giants could use a win here after losing five of their last seven games. The Giants have allowed 21 runs in their last three games and four or more runs in seven of their last eight games. The San Francisco Giants have lost 10 of their last 13 games when allowing more than three runs. Offensively, Buster Posey leads the Giants with 97 hits and 40 RBI while Joe Panik and Denard Span have combined for 172 hits and 52 RBI. Matt Moore gets the ball, and he is 3-10 with a 5.81 ERA and 87 strikeouts this season. This will be Moore’s first career game against the Padres.

The Padres are 4-1 in their last 5 Saturday games, 6-17 in their last 23 vs. National League West and 1-6 in Perdomos last 7 road starts. The Giants are 5-11 in their last 16 during game 3 of a series, 1-6 in their last 7 Saturday games and 2-8 in Moores last 10 starts. The Padres are 17-37 in the last 54 meetings in San Francisco.

Both of these pitchers have been hit hard this season, so this matchup is a wash. However, there's simply no reason to be laying juice with the Giants, as they've found ways to do nothing but lose games this season regardless of the situation. I don't understand why anybody would be laying these prices with the Giants. Like yesterday, the value continues to be on the Padres and the plus money.
