Camden Yards and the Baltimore Orioles host the Houston Astros in an MLB baseball match up on Sunday.
The Houston Astros have gone largely unchallenged in the American League West with both their arms and bats able to win games. The pen and the offense got the job done for the Astros Saturday in an 8-4 win at Baltimore that gave the team victories in three of four. Stros starter Chip McHugh was charged with all four runs on four hits including two homers and a pair of walks in 4.2 frames before four relievers put up zeros. Houston racked up 15 hits with Alex Bregman going solo while Yuli Gurriel and Marwin Gonzalez both homered and drove in five. The Houston Astros have slated a struggling Lance McCullers Jr. for Sunday’s start at the Baltimore Orioles. McCullers has been hit hard in three consecutive outings with a combined 12 runs given up on 21 hits and seven walks over 14.1 innings of work.

The Baltimore Orioles are down in the standings but a long hot streak could get them back in the American League East race. After winning four straight the Orioles have lost consecutive contests to the Astros with the pen faltering Saturday night. O’s starter Chris Tillman gave up three runs on six hits including a pair of long balls through 5.1 innings before Darren O’Day gave up three runs and Brad Brach allowed two (one earned) in the 9th. The Baltimore attack consisted of four hits and three bases on balls with Adam Jones and Jonathan Schoop cracking two run homers. Dylan Bundy toes the rubber for the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday against the dangerous Houston Astros who he faces for the first time. Bundy was outstanding 1n a 12-1 win versus the Texas Rangers last time out the lone run scored over six frames.
The over is 20-5-2 in Houston last 27 Sunday games and Houston are 38-13 in their last 51 road games while the over is 11-4-1 in Houston last 16 overall. The over is 6-2 in Baltimore last 8 Sunday games and Baltimore are 3-8 in Bundy’s last 11 starts on grass. Houston are 14-3 in the last 17 meetings.
I don’t think McCullers is worth the price against Baltimore’s best in Bundy but I’m banking on the big offense of Houston…
