The Chicago Cubs have been playing well the past few weeks which has the team finally getting over .500 and challenging Milwaukee for the NL Central lead. Chicago White Sox vs. Chicago Cubs - 7/26/17 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Chicago White Sox have been mired in a two week slump where they couldn’t get their arms and bats on the same page. Despite defeating the hated Cubs Monday, the White Sox were flat Tuesday afternoon where the offense stalled and the pitching struggled. CWS starter Carlos Rodon gave up four runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out eleven through four innings to absorb the loss and fall to 1-4 while Chris Beck allowed two runs on a hit and four bases on balls in 1.1 frames. The CWS mustered seven hits and three walks with Carlos Rodon doubling in Tim Anderson and Omar Navaez in the second inning. The Chicago White Sox hand the ball to James Shields for Wednesday’s outing versus the Chicago Cubs. Shields has been struggling with three straight defeats capped off by a 7-6 loss (ND) at Kansas City with six runs scoring on ten hits and three BB in 4.1 frames.

Chicago Cubs are 8-2 in their last 10 overall and Chicago Cubs are 8-2 in their last 10 games on grass while the under is 12-4 in Chicago Cubs last 16 road games. Chicago White Sox are 2-7 in their last 9 interleague games and Chicago White Sox are 7-19 in their last 26 Wednesday games while the under is 8-3 in Chicago White Sox last 11 overall. The over is 5-2-2 in the last 9 meetings at the Chicago White Sox.

I don’t think this is a slam dunk as I’m simply going with the hotter squad…
