Progressive Field and the Cleveland Indians host the Los Angeles Angels in Wednesday MLB baseball.
The Los Angeles Angels are trying to get above .500 and solidify their position in the Wild Card race. The Angels had won three of four before an 11-7, eleven inning loss at Cleveland Tuesday halted their momentum for a night. LAA starter Jesse Chavez allowed seven runs on seven hits and four BB over 2.1 frames before Bud Norris loaded the bases and served up a walk off grand slam in the 11th. Los Angeles pounded out 13 hits and walked four times with Kole Calhoun clubbing a three run bomb while Luis Valbuena homered and drove in three more followed Kaleb Cowart and Andrelton Simmons each scored twice. The Angels have not named a starting pitcher for Wednesday so please check back.

The Cleveland Indians have enjoyed a much needed surge the past several days and need it to continue. The Indians stayed hot with the offense and pen saving the day to give the team win number five in a row. Tribe starter Mike Clevinger was tagged for six runs (five earned) on nine hits and a pair of free passes through 4.1 innings while five relievers put up zeros. Cleveland racked up 13 hits with Michael Brantley going solo and scoring twice while Bradley Zimmer went 3-5 with a homer, four RBI’s and two runs followed by Edwin Encarnacion who smashed an 11th inning walk off grand slam. The Cleveland Indians have tabbed Carlos Carrasco as Wednesday’s game two starter versus the Los Angeles Angels.
