The Mets are 2-6 in their last 8 Thursday games, 6-1 in their last 7 vs. a team with a losing record and 7-1 in their last 8 vs. National League West. The Padres are 10-25 in their last 35 during game 4 of a series, 4-9 in their last 13 Thursday games and 4-0 in Perdomos last 4 home starts. The over is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings.
I almost never back a pitcher who is making his major league debut due to so many unknowns, and I'm not going to do it here. Nobody knows what to expect from Flexen, especially on the road. Not to mention the Padres have been a scoring machine in the second half and Perdomo has produced wins in four straight home games. I'll gladly take the Padres at home for the plus money against a new pitcher.
