The Cleveland Indians shoot for a road win at the Boston Red Sox  in a Wednesday MLB baseball tilt.

The Cleveland Indians are looking to extend their lead in the American League Central with Minnesota and Kansas City right behind them. Tribe starter Carlos Carrasco gave up five runs in 1.2 frames before Bryan Shaw and Cody Allen allowed three runs each in one inning. Cleveland received solo homers from Francisco Lindor and Carlos Santana while Edwin Encarnacion and Brandon Guyer clubbed two run bombs. Trevor Bauer gets the starting assignment when the Cleveland Indians face the Boston Red Sox on Wednesday. Boston Red Sox vs. Cleveland Indians - 8/2/17 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The Boston Red Sox need to avoid a losing streak of any length as the team tries to stay with the surging Yankees in the American League East. The Red Sox picked up a game on the Yankees with Tuesday’s victory over the visiting Cleveland Indians which gave the team wins in four of six. Boston ace Chris Sale suffered a rare off night with seven runs given up on seven hits including two homers in five innings before Craig Kimbrel allowed two runs in the 9th to get a BS and a win when Boston won it on a walk off three run jack. Boston amassed 15 hits with Mitch Moreland and Christian Vasquez clubbing three run bombs and scoring three times each while Eduardo Nunez went 3-5 with four RBI’s. Rick Porcello  toes the rubber for the Boston Red Sox versus the visiting Cleveland Indians on Wednesday. Porcello comes off of a 4-2 defeat against the Cleveland Indians where he allowed all four runs on six hits including two homers in seven frames.

Cleveland are 9-2 in their last 11 overall and Cleveland are 9-2 in their last 11 games on grass while Cleveland are 3-8 in their last 11 Wednesday games. The under is 20-7-1 in Boston last 28 home games and the under is 7-1 in Porcello’s last 8 Wednesday starts while Boston  are 1-7 in Porcello’s last 8 Wednesday starts. The under is 6-1-1 in the last 8 meetings.

Bauer is very unpredictable and Porcello doesn’t win so I’d personally look elsewhere…
