The Detroit Tigers continue their visit at Camden Yards with the Baltimore Orioles in a Saturday MLB baseball.
The Detroit Tigers have been playing well over the past week although it’s too late to make a difference in the American League Central race. The Tigers stayed hot with a 5-2 victory at Baltimore Friday to give the team wins in six of seven. Detroit starter Justin Verlander allowed both runs on solo homers while striking out ten over seven frames to even his record at 7-7. Detroit posted six hits and two bases on balls with Jim Adduci going solo and scoring twice while Justin Upton cracked an 8th inning grand slam. The Detroit Tigers have recalled Drew VerHagen from the minors for Saturdays road start against the Baltimore Orioles. VerHagen has appeared twice in relief this season and 0-1 with 6.75 ERA covering four innings of work.

The Baltimore Orioles have been on a bit of a run as they try to get back in Wild Card contention. After winning five in a row the Orioles have dropped consecutive contests following Friday night’s defeat where the offense and bullpen came up short. O’s starter Kevin Gausman gave up a run on three hits and a BB while striking out eight but did not get a decision when Mychal Givens surrendered an 8th inning grand slam to receive a blown save and loss. Baltimore managed seven hits but did not draw a walk with Manny Machado and Tim Beckham clubbing solo homers. Left hander Wade Miley toes the rubber for the Baltimore Orioles against the visiting Detroit Tigers on Saturday. Miley looks for back to back wins after defeating the Texas Rangers 10-6 with a pair of runs scoring on four hits and a BB in five frames.
Detroit are 5-1 in their last 6 road games versus a left handed starter and the Detroit are 5-1 in their last 6 overall while Detroit are 4-1 in their last 5 road games. The under is 6-2 in Baltimore last 8 overall and the over is 6-2 in Baltimore last 8 Saturday games while the over is 7-3 in Baltimore last 10 home games.
VerHagen doesn’t have a whole lot to go on and Miley has struggled so I’m looking at the over or the Orioles team total over until a line comes out…
