Opening up their three-game MLB series on Monday, the Baltimore Orioles will head to Angel Stadium in Anaheim to face the host Los Angeles Angels.
The Orioles are coming off a set against the Tigers this weekend. Baltimore dropped the first two but won on Saturday. In the Sunday finale, the Orioles won in blowout fashion 12-3.

RHP Dylan Bundy will be taking the mound for the Orioles on Monday. In his 127.1 innings and 10-8 record this year, Bundy has a 4.24 ERA with 97 Ks and 40 BBs.
Baltimore has some notable hitters this year. Johnathan Schoop came out of the week with 124 hits, 68 runs, 24 homers and 80 RBI, while Adam Jones had 115 hits, 59 runs, 20 homers and 53 RBI. Schoop ripped a homer with two runs and two RBI on Sunday; Jones had two hits and two runs.
Over on the Angels’ side, they’re fresh off a series versus the A’s. The two teams split the first pair of games, then on Sunday the Angels gave up five runs in the eighth inning on the way to a tough 11-10 defeat.
For the Monday game, the Angels will be going with JC Ramirez. In his 129.2 innings and 10-9 record this year, Ramirez has a 4.03 ERA with 99 Ks and 42 BBs.
LA has some key bats as well. Andrelton Simmons came out of the week with 123 hits, 55 runs, 11 homers and 49 RBI, while Yunel Escobar had 95 hits, 41 runs and 30 RBI. Escobar posted a solo homer on Sunday, while Simmons had a hit and two runs.
The Orioles are 4-11 in their last 15 during game one of a series, and 5-1 in Bundy’s last six starts versus a team with a losing record. Baltimore is also 1-4 in Bundy’s last five starts in game one of a series, and 1-4 in Bundy’s last four starts with five days’ rest.
Meanwhile, the Angels are 4-1 in their last five versus the AL East, and 3-7 in their last 10 during game one of a series. The under is 10-2-1 in the Angels’ last 13 Monday games and the over is 3-1-1 in the Angels’ last five during game one of a series.
Bundy has been really hit or miss lately. In three of his last five starts, he’s given up at least five earned and a total of 18 earned in those games. In the other two, he’s allowed just one earned run in 14.0 innings. The question for the Orioles here will be whether Good Bundy or Bad Bundy shows up. This is probably one to stay away from, but all things considered I think the Angels can get it done here.
