The San Francisco Giants are hoping to at least get out of the cellar in the National League West with plenty of time left in the season. The Giants moved closer to getting out of the basement with a 6-3 win versus the Arizona Diamondbacks giving the team back to back victories. SF starter Jeff Samardzija allowed all three runs on five hits and a trio of Bases on balls through 6.1 innings. San Francisco did their damage on eight hits and a trio of free passes with Jarrett Parker slamming a two run jack while Hunter Pence and Nick Hundley knocked in two runs apiece followed by Gorkys Hernandez with a pair of runs. Left hander Matt Moore toes the rubber for the San Francisco Giants against the visiting Chicago Cubs on Monday. Moore comes off of a 6-1 defeat versus the visiting Oakland Athletics where he gave up four runs on six hits and a trio of BB in five frames.
Chicago are 15-6 in their last 21 overall and the under is 6-3 in Chicago last 9 while the under is 14-7-1 during game 1 of a series. San Francisco are 7-1 in their last 8 home games versus a team with a winning record and San Francisco are 0-6 in their last 6 during game 1 of a series while San Francisco are 3-6 in their last 9 overall.
San Francisco is struggling and Moore is unpredictable and I won't pay the price for the Cubs on the road...
