MLB baseball comes to the Rogers Centre Tuesday when the New York Yankees visit the Toronto Blue Jays.

The New York Yankees look for consistency when they visit the rival Toronto Blue Jays Tuesday. The Yankees have won back to back games after downing the Cleveland Indians 8-1 on Sunday where the pitching and offense contributed. NYY starter Luis Severino allowed a run on a solo jack over 6.2 frames to improve to 9-4. The Bronx bombers pounded out 12 hits and walked three times with Aaron Judge clubbing a three run homer and scoring twice while Jacoby Ellsbury went 2-4 with three RBI’s and a run. Veteran left hander CC Sabathia is slated to start the series opener when the New York Yankees visit the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday. Sabathia comes off of a 4-3 defeat  at  the hands  of  the Detroit  Tigers with all  four runs  plated over  six frames.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. New York Yankees - 8/8/17 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Toronto Blue Jays still have a chance to make a run in the American League East but the team hasn’t been able to stay hot for any significant period of time. The Blue Jays have dropped two of three following an excruciating 7-6 defeat at the Houston Astros on Sunday where the bullpen imploded in the 9th. Jays starter Marcus Stroman was charged with three runs (two earned) on eleven hits and two walks before Roberto Osuna gave up four runs on five hits in the 9th in 2/3 of an inning. Toronto logged eight hits and five BB with Norichika Aoki and Jose Bautista launching two run bombs while Justin Smoak went 2-5 and knocked in two. The Toronto Blue Jays have named left hander JA Happ as Tuesday’s starter versus the New York Yankees. Happ will be looking for consecutive victories after knocking off the Chicago White Sox  5-1 with the lone run given up on four hits and two BB in six frames.

The under is 10-3-1 in New York last 14 road games and New York are 6-2 in their last 8 games following a win while New York are 2-6 in their last 8 Tuesday games. The over is 6-2 in Toronto last 8 overall and Toronto are 2-6 in Happ’s last 8 home starts while the under is 6-2 in Happ’s last 8 starts overall. Toronto are 7-1 in Happ’s last 8 starts versus New York and New York are 3-10 in the last 13 meetings in Toronto.

I think the Blue Jays can win this so you have to decide if this team is worth putting money on…
