The Cleveland Indians continue their road series with the Tampa Bay Rays in Saturday MLB baseball.
The Cleveland Indians might be leading the American League Central but they haven’t been playing well as of late. The Indians had dropped seven of ten before putting everything together in a 5-0 victory at Tampa Bay on Friday. Tribe starter Carlos Carrasco was at his best two hits and two walks allowed over eight frames while recording ten strikeouts. Cleveland totaled seven hits and five free passes with Edwin Encarnacion going solo while Giovanny Urshela knocked in a run and scoring.

The Cleveland Indians will pull Mike Clevinger from the bullpen for Saturday’s start at the Tampa Bay Rays. Clevinger last started in a 6-2 loss at the Boston Red Sox on July 31st where he was charged with five runs on seven hits and four BB in three frames.
The Tampa Bay Rays have hit a slow patch over the past week or so and need to right the ship quickly. The Rays slow patch reached another day with Friday night’s defeat that saddled the team with defeats in five of seven. TB struggled on the mound and at the plate with starter Jacob Faria charged with five runs on six hits and a trio of bases on balls to drop to 5-3. Tampa Bay was held to three and a pair of free passes with Steven Souza Jr. walking twice. Chris Archer toes the rubber for his second start of the 2017 season versus the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday. Archer did not receive a decision in a 2-1 win versus the Milwaukee Brewers last time out with a run given up on three hits and two BB in six frames.
The under is 14-3 in Cleveland last 17 on astroturf and the under is 13-4-1 in Cleveland last 18 Saturday games. The under is 7-1 in Tampa Bay last 8 overall. Cleveland are 7-2 in the last 9 meetings in Tampa Bay and Cleveland are 11-4 in the last 15 meetings.
Clevinger was struggling when sent to the pen and Archer struggles against Cleveland but if forced to bet this one it would be small…
