The Orioles just came off a set against the A’s. Baltimore won on Thursday and Saturday but fell Friday 5-4 and 9-3 on Sunday.

Baltimore will be rolling out RHP Kevin Gausman on Monday. In his 133.0 innings and 8-8 record this year, Gausman has a 5.21 ERA with 126 Ks and 55 BBs.
The Orioles have some solid bats this year. Johnathan Schoop leads the way on 133 hits, 71 runs, 25 homers and 85 RBI, while Adam Jones is close behind with 125 hits, 65 runs, 22 homers and 61 RBI.
As for the Mariners, they just finished up against the Angels. Seattle lost all four games of that set and they’ve now lost seven of their last 10 outings.
The Mariners are going with RHP Yovani Gallardo on Monday. In his 107.0 innings and 5-7 record this year, Gallardo has a 5.38 ERA with 76 Ks and 47 BBs.
Seattle has a few notable names on offense as well. Robinson Cano has 116 hits, 60 runs, 19 homers and 75 RBI, while Nelson Cruz is right there as well on 116 hits, 60 runs, 28 homers and 93 RBI.
The Orioles are 4-0 in their last four Monday games and 14-29 in their last 43 road games. Baltimore is also 12-30 in Gausman’s last 42 road starts and 3-7 in Gausman’s last 10 starts on grass.
Meanwhile, the Mariners are 10-3 in their last 13 versus a team with a losing record and 16-5 in their last 21 Monday games. Seattle is also 4-1 in Gallardo’s last five starts versus a team with a losing record and 2-5 in their last seven home games.
Gausman has been on a pretty good run lately. He had four straight quality starts until his last outing against the Angels, where he gave up four earned on eight hits in 5.1 innings. As for Gallardo, he hasn’t been bad but he hasn’t been great either. In his last four starts, he’s allowed a total of 10 earned over 20.0 innings. I like Gausman to come out firing here and put the Orioles in position to get a win. Give me Baltimore.
