MLB baseball comes to Target Field when the Minnesota Twins begin a series with the Chicago White Sox.
The Chicago White Sox have had their share of problems this season but the team is going through a little hot streak. The White Sox begin their road series at Target Field with wins in four of five following a 7-1 victory versus the visiting Detroit Tigers on Sunday afternoon. CWS starter Lucas Giolito was at his best with three hits and four bases on balls allowed through seven innings to even his record at 1-1. Minnesota racked up 14 hits and three walks with Byron Buxton carrying the offense with four hits, three homers, five RBI’s and four runs while Kennys Vargas went 2-5 with two runs driven in. Veteran right hander Ervin Santana draws Tuesday’s starting assignment for the Minnesota Twins when he faces the Chicago White Sox for the 5th time in 2017. Santana comes off of a 4-3 loss to the CWS with a pair of runs given up over seven frames.
Chicago are 14-37 in their last 51 road games and the under is 9-4-1 in Chicago last 14 road games while Chicago are 3-12 in Shields' last 15 road starts. Minnesota are 13-6 in their last 19 games on grass and Minnesota are 15-7 in their last 22 overall while the under is 27-12-2 in Santana’s last 41 on grass. This isn’t a slam dunk with the White Sox playing well and Shields having some success in this matchup. I’ll back Minnesota but not nothing big…
