For Tuesday’s game, the Marlins will be bringing out Vance Worley. In his 60.0 innings and 2-3 record this year, Worley has a 5.70 ERA with 40 Ks.

Miami has some big hitters this year. Marcel Ozuna led the way coming into this set with 151 hits, 74 runs, 31 homers and 102 RBI while Dee Gordon had 90 runs, 150 hits and 25 RBI. Ozona and Gordon combined to go 5-for-8 with an RBI and a run on Monday.

Over on the Nationals’ side, they’re rolling with RHP Edwin Jackson on Tuesday. In his 48.0 innings and 4-3 record this year, Jackson has a 3.38 ERA with 32 Ks.

Washington has some solid bats as well. Daniel Murphy came into this series with 142 hits, 78 runs, 20 homers and 81 RBI while Bryce Harper had 131 hits, 92 runs, 29 homers and 87 RBI. Murphy had two runs on Monday; Harper is still fighting off an injury.

The Marlins are 4-1 in their last five Tuesday games and the over is 15-5-2 in the Marlins’ last 22 Tuesday games. Miami is also 13-4 in their last 17 overall and 4-2 in their last six versus the National League East.

Meanwhile, the Nationals are 11-3 in their last 14 Tuesday games and 2-7 in their last nine during game two of a series. The under is also 3-1-1 in the Nationals’ last five during game two of a series.

This is Jackson’s first start against the Marlins, who are his former team. He comes in with a nice 2.93 ERA in his seven starts at home this year, and should come out strong here. I like Jackson to control the game and help propel the Nationals to a win in this one.
