Out at Chase Field on Wednesday, the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Arizona Diamondbacks will be continuing their MLB series.
In the Tuesday opener, the Diamondbacks scored five runs in the first inning on the way to a 7-6 victory.

For Wednesday’s game, the Dodgers will be bringing out lefty Hyun-Jin Ryu. In his 107.2 innings and 5-6 record this year, Ryu has a 3.34 ERA with 100 Ks and 34 BBs.
The Dodgers have some big hitters this year. Corey Seager came into this set with 142 hits, 75 runs, 19 homers and 65 RBI, while Chris Taylor had 122 hits, 71 runs, 17 homers and 62 RBI. Taylor had a homer on Tuesday; Seager is sitting out with an elbow issue.
The Diamondbacks will be bringing out LHP Robbie Ray on Wednesday. In his 123.2 innings and 10-5 record this year, Ray has a 3.06 ERA with 160 Ks and 60 BBs.
Arizona has some big hitters as well. Paul Goldschmidt brought 147 hits, 96 runs, 31 homers and 104 RBI into this series while Dustin Peralta has 128 hits, 79 runs, 13 homers and 43 RBI. Goldschmidt had a homer on Tuesday; Peralta ripped a triple.
The Dodgers are 8-3 in their last 11 Wednesday games, and 42-16 in their last 58 during game two of a series. LA is also 6-0 in Ryu’s last six starts and 4-1 in Ryu’s last five road starts.
Meanwhile, the Diamondbacks are 4-11 in their last 15 during game two of a series and 9-4 in Ray’s last 13 starts. Arizona is also 9-4 in Ray’s last 13 starts on grass, and 1-9 in Ray’s last 10 Wednesday starts.
Ryu has been on a nice run lately, and has allowed zero earned in three of his last five starts (a span of 19.0 innings and nine hits). As for Ray, he gave up just one earned on two hits in 6.0 innings in New York his last time out. All things considered here, however, I like Ryu to stay hot and the Dodgers to get a win.
