Minnesota Twins vs. Kansas City Royals - 9/3/17 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Minnesota Twins are hoping to solidify their position in the Wild Card race. The Twins have been playing well and continued to win with Saturday’s one sided victory that gave the team wins in five of six. Minnesota was outstanding on the mound and at the plate with starter Kyle Gibson allowing five hits through six scoreless innings that upped his record to 9-10. The Twins offense amassed 17 hits and nine walks with Brian Dozier smacking a three run homer while Eduardo Escobar clubbed a pair of long balls with six RBI’s followed by three players with a pair of RBI’s apiece. The Minnesota Twins give Sunday’s starting assignment versus the visiting Kansas City Royals to Ervin Santana. Santana comes off of a 6-4victory versus the Chicago White Sox where he gave up three runs on seven hits and a pair of BB over 6.2 frames.

Kansas City are 2-6 in their last 8 overall and Kansas City are 6-2 in their last 8 Sunday games while Kansas City  are 2-6 in their last 8 games on grass. Minnesota are 7-1 in their last 8 home games and Minnesota  are 16-7 in their last 23 games on grass while Minnesota are 7-2 in Santana’s last 9 Sunday starts. Minnesota are 1-8 in Santana’s last 9 starts versus Kansas City while Kansas City are 2-6 in the last 8 meetings in Minnesota.

I am not going to read in to this deep and I’m not going to over think this either. I’ll back Minnesota and hope continue to play well…
