The Cleveland Indians battle the Chicago White Sox in AL Central MLB baseball on Monday.
The Cleveland Indians have been the hottest team in the game over the past few weeks as the team looks to widen their lead in the American League Central. The Indians haven’t lost in two weeks and continued their roll with an 11-1 rout of the Detroit Tigers on Sunday afternoon. Tribe starter Josh Tomlin upped his record to 8-9 with the lone run scoring on six hits and a walk over 5.2 frames before three relievers finished the job. Cleveland racked up 16 hits and walked nine times with Francisco Lindor smacking a two run bomb while Jose Ramirez hit a pair of long balls and drove in three and scored three followed by Roberto Perez with two runs knocked in. A streaking Trevor Bauer gets Monday’s starting assignment from the Cleveland Indians when they visit the Chicago White Sox. Bauer has won three straight decisions and overall he has gone 14-8 in 26 starts and one relief appearance with a 4.46 ERA.

The Chicago White Sox have been struggling to string together wins the entire season. After dropping four straight, the White Sox have won back to back contests following a 6-2 victory versus the visiting Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday afternoon. Both the bats and arms contributed with CWS starter Lucas Giolito allowing a run on three hits while striking out ten through seven innings of work to up his record to 2-1. Chicago did their damage on eight hits and a pair of bases on balls with Jose Abreu clubbing a two run bomb while Tim Anderson went 3-4 with a homer, three RBI’s and two runs. Veteran right hander James Shields is tabbed as the starter for the Chicago White Sox with the Cleveland Indians in town. Shields comes off of a 6-4 defeat at the Minnesota Twins where he allowed four runs on five hits and five BB in five frames.
Cleveland are 8-1 in their last 9 Monday games and Cleveland are 14-2 in their last 16 road games while Cleveland are 28-10 in their last 38 games on grass. The under is 7-1 in Chicago last 8 home games and the under is 8-3 in Chicago last 11 overall while the under is 8-3 in Chicago last 11 on grass. The under is 5-2-1 in the last 8 meetings in Chicago.
Cleveland won’t win every time they take the field and I’m not smart enough to figure out when the next loss happens so I’ll just ride the hot streak…
