The Line: Colorado Rockies / San Francisco Giants --- Over/Under: 8.5 See the Latest Odds
MLB baseball comes to Coors Field on Monday with the Colorado Rockies hosting the San Francisco Giants.
The San Francisco Giants have an outside chance of escaping the National League West basement but the team has their back against the wall. The Giants still haven’t found that elusive groove with Sunday afternoon’s 7-3 defeat to the visiting St. Louis Cardinals. The pitching and offense both struggled with SF starter Madison Bumgarner allowing five runs on five hits (three homers) and two free passes over six frames to fall to 3-7. San Francisco mustered seven hits and walked three times with Bumgarner and Tim Federowicz smacking solo homers. Left hander Matt Moore toes the rubber for the San Francisco Giants against the Colorado Rockies on Monday. Moore struggled last time out in a 6-3 loss at the San Diego Padres with five runs given up on eight hits and a walk over five innings of work.

The Colorado Rockies have fallen from the top Wild Card to the second Wild Card but that’s not a given with the recent struggles. The Rockies absorbed a 5-1 loss to the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday and were swept away for their 4th consecutive loss. The Rockies pitching was simply not good enough with the bats doing almost nothing. Colorado starter German Marquez was charged with four runs on six hits including a pair of long balls through six innings to falling to 10-6. The Rockies attack consisted of five hits and six bases on balls with Charlie Blackmon going 2-3 with an RBI double that scored DJ LeMahieu scoring. The Colorado Rockies have scheduled Chad Bettis to start Monday against the visiting San Francisco Giants. Bettis has dropped back to back contests following a 6-2 loss to the Detroit Tigers with five runs scoring on seven hits and a pair of BB in five frames.
The under is 10-3 in San Francisco last 13 overall and the under is 10-3 in San Francisco last 13 on grass while the over is 5-2-3 in San Francisco last 10 Monday games. The under is 7-1 in Colorado last 8 home games and the under is 20-7 in Colorado last 27 overall while the under is 20-7 in Colorado last 27 on grass. San Francisco are 0-8 in the last 8 meetings in Colorado and San Francisco are 3-9 in the last 12 meetings.
No line is out yet but there is a total. I wouldn’t bet this game because it’s a complete guess so I’ll say over…
