The Angels are fresh off a set against the Rangers. The two teams split the first pair of games, then on Sunday LA lost the series 7-6.

For the Monday game, the Angels will be bringing out RHP Parker Bridwell. In his 87.0 innings and 7-2 record this year, Bridwell has a 3.52 ERA with 54 Ks.
The Angels have a few notable batters this year. Andrelton Simmons came into this week with 143 hits, 69 runs, 14 homers and 62 RBI, while Albert Pujols had 120 hits, 48 runs, 21 homers and 89 RBI. Simmons put up two hits and two RBI on Sunday; Pujols had one hit and one RBI.
As for the A’s, they just finished up against the Mariners. Oakland lost the first pair of games, then on Sunday the A’s lost again 10-2.
Oakland will be going with RHP Chris Smith on Monday. In his 47.1 innings and 0-4 record this year, Smith has a 6.27 ERA with 26 Ks.
The A’s have some key bats as well. Ryon Healy came out of the week with 130 hits, 56 runs, 23 homers and 72 RBI while Jed Lowrie was sitting on 130 hits, 69 runs, 12 homers and 50 RBI. In the Sunday game, Healy had one hit; Lowrie was out of the lineup.
The Angels are 2-5 in their last seven Monday games and 6-0 in Bridwell's last six road starts. Los Angeles is also 12-2 in Bridwell’s last 14 starts and 5-1 in Bridwell’s last six starts with four days’ rest.
Meanwhile, the A’s are 15-40 in their last 55 during game one of a series and 1-7 in their last eight Monday games. Oakland is also 2-5 in Smith’s last seven starts and the under is 7-0 in the A’s last seven during game one of a series.
Back on Wednesday in his last start, Bridwell struggled mightily with seven runs in three innings against the A’s. As for Smith, he hasn’t been able to go deep in either of his last two starts. All things considered, I like Bridwell to bounce back here and deliver a good outing. Give me the Angels.
