The Baltimore Orioles look to get back in the win column against the New York Yankees in Tuesday MLB.

The New York Yankees are well within grasp of the division leading Red Sox in the American League East and need to avoid losing streaks of any length. The Yankees have been at their best lately with wins in four of five after downing the Orioles 7-4 on Monday where the pen and offense rose to the occasion. Yanks starter Jordan Montgomery gave up three runs (two earned) on five hits including a pair of homers over 4.2 frames before three relievers held Baltimore at bay. New York totaled eight hits and ten walks with Didi Gregorius smacking a two run bomb while Starlin Castro went 3-5 with a homer, three RBI’s and two runs followed by Jacoby Ellsbury with a run and RBI. Veteran left hander CC Sabathia toes the rubber for the New York Yankees against the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday. Sabathia looks for back to back wins after downing the Boston Red Sox 6-2 with a run allowed on four hits and five BB in six frames.

Baltimore Orioles vs. New York Yankees - 9/5/17 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Baltimore Orioles have been making a last gasp push and it has gotten the team back in to the Wild Card race. The Orioles drive for the postseason took a step back with Tuesday’s defeat with the pitching coming up short. O’s starter Dylan Bundy was charged with five runs on five hits and four bases on balls through four innings to absorb the loss while Miguel Castro gave up a pair of runs in 1.1 innings. The Baltimore attack consisted of six hits and three free passes with Tim Beckham and Welington Castillo going solo while Chris Davis clubbed a two run homer. The Baltimore Orioles have tabbed Jeremy Hellickson as the game two starter versus the New York Yankees on Tuesday. Hellickson dropped an 11-8 decision versus the Toronto Blue Jays with seven runs scoring on seven hits and four BB in 4.2 frames.

The under is 6-2 in New York last 8 Tuesday games and the under is 10-1-1 in Sabathia’s last 12 Tuesday starts while the under is 12-3-1 in Sabathia’s last 16 road starts. Baltimore are 9-2 in their last 11 overall and Baltimore are 9-2 in their last 11 games on grass while Baltimore are 6-2 in their last 8 home games.

I think the matchup on the mound favors the Yankees and the Orioles have an edge at the plate. It boils down to whether a sometimes questionable New York offense can hit…
