The Milwaukee Brewers continue their road series with the Cincinnati Reds in Tuesday MLB baseball action.
The Milwaukee Brewers have been playing well to move within a game of the second Wild Card position. The Brewers lost ground in the Wild Card race as their defense and pen cost them Tuesday in a 5-4 loss at Cincinnati. Brew Crew starter Chase Anderson was charged with four runs (three earned on seven hits and a trio of walks over 5.1 frames before Josh Hader served up a walk off jack in the 9th to fall to 1-3. Milwaukee did their damage on nine hits without a walk with Ryan Braun cracking a solo homer while Orlando Garcia clubbed a three run bomb. The Reds are hoping for consistency from both their pitching and hitting going forward. The Reds avoided a three game skid with Tuesday’s victory where the team once led 4-0 before needing some late offense to ultimately secure the win. Cinci starter Homer Bailey allowed three runs on six hits through six innings for a no decision when Michael Lorenzen surrendered a home run for a blown save. Cincinnati logged eight hits and three bases on balls with Billy Hamilton cracking his 4th homer in the bottom of the 9th to win the game. Joey Votto drove in a run and scored while Tucker Barnhart led Cincinnati with a two run double. Cincinnati hands the ball to Robert Stephenson for Tuesday’s matchup with the visiting Milwaukee Brewers who he has never faced. Stephenson has won four straight following a 7-2 victory versus the New York Mets with two runs allowed in six frames.
The under is 21-4-1 in Milwaukee last 26 road games and the under is 6-2 in Milwaukee last 8 Tuesday games while the under is 37-13-3 in Milwaukee last 53 overall. The over is 14-4-3 in Cincinnati last 21 Tuesday games and the over is 10-4 in Cincinnati last 14 home games while the over is 8-3 in Stephenson’s last 11 starts on grass.
Stephenson has really been tough so this isn’t going to be easy for Milwaukee but the Brewers do win for Davies who has a shot a 20 wins…
