Out at PNC Park on Tuesday, the Chicago Cubs and the Pittsburgh Pirates will be continuing their MLB series.
In the Monday opener, the Pirates scored seven runs in the eighth inning on the way to a 12-0 beatdown, out-hitting the Cubs 16-7.

For the Tuesday game, the Cubs will be bringing out RHP Kyle Hendricks. In his 108.1 innings and 6-4 record this year, Hendricks has a 3.32 ERA with 94 Ks and 35 BBs.
Chicago has a handful of notable hitters this year. Anthony Rizzo came into this set with 139 hits, 88 runs, 31 homers and 100 RBI, while Kris Bryant brought 134 hits, 94 runs, 25 homers and 59 RBI. Bryant posted two hits on Monday; Rizzo went 0-for-4.
Over on the Pirates’ side, they're going with LHP Steven Brault on Tuesday. In his 13.2 innings and 0-0 record this year, Brault has a 5.93 ERA with nine Ks and six BBs.
Pittsburgh has some key hitters as well. Josh Harrison is sitting on 132 hits, 66 runs, 16 homers and 47 RBI, while Andrew McCutchen brought 131 hits, 79 runs, 23 homers and 74 RBI into this set. In the Monday game, McCutchen posted two hits, two runs and an RBI; Harrison is on the DL for the rest of the year.
The Cubs are 5-0 in their last five during game two of a series, and 47-21 in their last 68 Tuesday games. Chicago is also 7-1 in Hendricks’ last eight starts in game two of a series and 10-4 in Hendricks’ last 14 road starts.
Meanwhile, Pittsburgh is 3-10 in their last 13 during game two of a series, and 1-5 in their last six Tuesday games. The Pirates are also 1-5 in Brault’s last six starts and 1-4 in Brault’s last five starts versus the NL Central.
Hendricks has been on a nice run lately. He’s got four straight quality starts to his credit, allowing a total of six earned and going at least 6.0 innings in each. As for Brault, he had a shaky couple of outings at Wrigley his last two times as a reliever, giving up seven runs and four earned in 3.0 innings. I like Hendricks to keep it going here and get the Cubs a victory.
