Out at Fenway Park on Sunday, the Tampa Bay Rays and the Boston Red Sox will be finishing up their MLB series.
In the opener, the Red Sox secured a 9-3 victory. On Saturday, Boston made it two in a row with a 9-0 shutout.

For the Sunday game, the Rays will be bringing out RHP Alex Cobb. In his 163.0 innings and 10-9 record this year, Cobb has a 3.64 ERA with 114 Ks.
Tampa has some interesting hitters this year. Corey Dickerson came into the weekend with 151 hits, 78 runs, 26 homers and 60 RBI while Evan Longoria managed 143 hits, 66 runs, 18 homers and 77 RBI. Longoria had one hit on Saturday; Dickerson was out of the lineup.
Over on the Red Sox’ side, they’re going with RHP Rick Porcello on Sunday. In his 181.1 innings and 9-16 record this year, Porcello has a 4.67 ERA with 163 Ks and 39 BBs.
Boston has some solid bats as well. Mookie Betts came into the weekend on 147 hits, 86 runs, 19 homers and 81 RBI while Andrew Benintendi had 135 hits, 72 runs, 19 homers and 76 RBI. Betts had a hit and two runs on Saturday; Benintendi had three hits, three RBI and a run.
The under is 6-0 in the Rays’ last six Sunday games and 15-5-1 in the Rays’ last 21 during game three of a series. Tampa is 4-11 in their last 15 versus the AL East and 5-3 in their last eight versus a team with a winning record.
Meanwhile, the Red Sox are 6-2 in their last eight during game three of a series and 5-0 in Porcello’s last five starts with five days’ rest. Boston is also 5-2 in Porcello’s last seven starts and 2-5 in Porcello’s last seven starts in game three of a series.
Porcello had a pretty good run going there, with four quality starts in five outings. He stumbled a little bit against Toronto his last time out, though, giving up seven earned on 10 hits in 5.1 innings in a loss. I like Porcello to bounce back here; he’s still 5-2 in his last seven starts. I’ll take the Red Sox.
