The Cleveland Indians look to stay white hot when the Detroit Tigers take the field in Tuesday MLB.
The Detroit Tigers have really been struggling over the past few weeks where the pitching and hitting have had problems. The Tigers saw that trend continue on Monday in an 11-0 defeat at Cleveland. Detroit starter Myles Jaye was charged with seven runs on seven hits and a pair of free passes over 3.2 frames to absorb the loss while three relievers combined to give up four runs. The Detroit attack consisted of nine hits and a base on balls with Alex Presley and Jeimer Castellanos both logging two hits. The Detroit Tigers are sending Mathew Boyd to the hill against the Cleveland Indians on Tuesday night. Boyd is coming in off of a 13-2 defeat versus the Kansas City Royals with four runs give up on seven hits and two BB over six innings of work.

The Cleveland Indians haven’t lost in what seems like forever with great work on the mound and at the plate coming through on an every day basis. The Indians received both on Tuesday night and it added up to a lopsided victory. Tribe starter Carlos Carrasco was at the top of his game with seven hits allowed through six scoreless innings where he recorded nine strikeouts to up his record to 15-6. Cleveland pounded out eleven hits and walked six times with Jose Ramirez clubbing a three run homer while Francisco Lindor went 2-4 with four RBI’s and a pair of runs. Corey Kluber toes the rubber for the scorching hot Cleveland Indians with the Detroit Tigers in town. Kluber has won three straight outings after an 11-2 win at the Chicago White Sox with both runs given up on three hits (two homers) in seven frames.
The under is 7-2 in Detroit last 9 road games and Detroit are 4-12 in their last 16 road games while Detroit are 8-23 in their last 31 games on grass. Cleveland are 21-6 in their last 27 home games and Cleveland are 39-12 in their last 51 overall while Cleveland are 37-14 in their last 51 games on grass. Cleveland are 6-2 in Kluber’s last 8 starts versus Detroit and Detroit are 11-27 in the last 38 meetings.
With all the success Cleveland has had they are commanding lines that are illogical. I’m laughing as I type this because this has to be a joke…
