The Miami Marlins end their visit with the Philadelphia Phillies with a Thursday tilt in MLB action.
The Miami Marlins were hot a few weeks ago as the team made a push for the Wild Card but that push is over. The Marlins have been in a long slide and it continued with an 8-1 defeat at the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday where nothing went favorably. Fish starter Dan Straily fell to 9-9 with all eight runs allowed on 13 hits including a pair of long balls over six innings of work. Miami was limited to four hits and a trio of free passes with Christian Yelich accounting for the scoring with his 17th homer in the third. Right hander Jose Urena toes the rubber for the Miami Marlins in the final game of the series with the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday. Urena comes in off of a 7-1 win at the Atlanta Braves with the lone run scoring on three hits and three BB in 6.1 frames.
