MLB comes to south Florida on Saturday when the Miami Marlins host the Atlanta Braves in NL East action.
The Atlanta Braves have been in a season ending skid that has reached four games following a 6-5 defeat at the Miami Marlins as a 5-0 lead went by the wayside. Braves starter Luiz Gohara was charged with four runs on six hits and a pair of walks over six frames with Dan Winkler allowing two runs to take the loss. The Bravos totaled ten hits and five base on balls with Ozzie Albies cracking his 6th homer and scoring twice while Lane Adams clubbed a three run bomb as the lead was 5-0 by the second inning. Lucas Sims toes the rubber for the Atlanta Braves in game two of their series at the Miami Marlins. Sims comes in off of a 9-2 victory at the New York Mets where he allowed both runs on six hits and two bases on balls over 6.2 innings of work.

The Miami Marlins head in to the final two games of the year playing well and are hoping to continue on Saturday. The Marlins overcame a shaky start on the mound with the bullpen saving the day in Friday night's comeback win. Fish starter Dan Straily was hit hard with all five runs given up on six hits and four bases on balls over three innings while seven relievers kept the Braves offense from doing any more damage. Miami posted ten hits an a trio of walks with Justin Bour smacking a two run single while Marcell Ozuna went 2-3 with three RBI’s and a run followed by Giancarlo Stanton with two runs and an RBI. The Miami Marlins have scheduled Odrisamr Despaigne as Saturday’s starter versus the visiting Atlanta Braves. Despaigne comes off of consecutive quality starts where he gave up a combined five runs on 13 hits through 12 innings.
