AT&T Park and the San Francisco Giants welcome the San Diego Padres to town for Friday night MLB.

The San Diego Padres have managed to avoid the basement in the National League West but the team has been struggling with four straight defeats. The Padres come off a 10-0 loss at the Los Angeles Dodgers where both the pitching and offense struggled.   SD starter Clayton Richard was hit hard with eight runs (six earned) scoring on eight hits and a trio of BB to fall to 8-15 while Kirby Yates gave up a pair of runs on a pair of solo jacks in an inning. The San Diego offense was held to three hits and three bases on balls with Yangervis Solarte going 2-4 with a single and double.  Right hander Jordan Lyles draws his 5th straight start from the San Diego Padres when the team visits the San Francisco Giants on Friday night. San Francisco Giants vs. San Diego Padres - 9/30/17 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The San Francisco Giants have struggled throughout 2017 as the team never found any type of spark. The Giants have dropped three of four following a 4-3 loss at the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday. The offense and bullpen struggled with SF starter Jeff Samardzija allowing a run on three hits and a walk over six innings before Sam Dyson gave up three runs in the 9th for a BS and loss. San Francisco mustered six hits and walked twice with Pablo Sandoval going 2-4 with two runs driven in while Denard Span went 3-4 and scored twice. The San Francisco Giants have scheduled Chris Stratton as Friday’s starter versus the visiting San Diego Padres. Stratton comes in off of a 3-1 defeat at the Los Angeles Dodgers where he gave up all three runs on five hits and a pair of walks over four frames.

San Diego are 3-7 in their last 10 games following a loss and San Diego are 27-57 in their last 84 road games. The under is 9-3 in San Francisco last 12 overall while the under is 9-3 in San Francisco last 12 on grass. San Diego are 19-7 in the last 26 meetings.

I believe this is a winnable game for San Francisco but for the life of me I can’t put money on them…
