MLB visits the Big Apple Sunday when the New York Yankees host the Cleveland Indians in game three of the ALDS.
The Cleveland Indians are probably breathing a sigh of relief following Friday’s 9-8, 13 inning victory in game two the ALDS to take a 2-0 series lead. The Indians rallied from an 8-3 hole as the offense and the bullpen saved the day. Tribe starter Corey Kluber was hit hard with six runs given up on seven hits including two homers while Mike Clevinger allowed two more before five relievers tossed 8.2 scoreless frames. Cleveland logged nine hits and walked five times with Jay Bruce going solo while Francisco Lindor went deep, drove in four and scored twice followed by Carlos Santana with two RBI’s and a run. Sunday’s game three start versus the New York Yankees goes to right hander Carlos Carrasco. Carrasco looks to continue an outstanding season where he has gone 18-6 with a 3.28 ERA.
