Unfortunately, both struggled Sunday in a 10-3 defeat that leaves Houston absorbing a rare defeat. Astros starter Brad Peacock gave up three runs on six hits and a walk over 2.2 frames before Lance McCullers Jr. and Chris Devenski combined to allow five runs. The Stros pounded out 13 hits and walked twice with Carlos Correa clubbing a two run bomb while Josh Reddick went 2-4 with a run and an RBI with four players logging eleven hits. Veteran right hander Charlie Morton Toes the rubber in game four of the ALDS at the Boston Red Sox who he has faced once in 2017. Overall, Morton has had a strong season with a 14-7 record and 3.62 ERA over 25 starts.

The Boston Red Sox staved off elimination with Sunday’s victory that narrowed their deficit in the ALDS to 2-1. Boston fell behind 3-1 before the bullpen and offense took control. Red Sox starter Doug Fister was charged with all three runs on four hits and a BB before getting the hook after 1.1 innings of work while four relievers put up zeros. The Boston offense racked up 15 hits and walked three times with Jackie Bradley Jr cracking a three run jack while Rafael Devers went 2-3 with a homer, three RBI’s and two runs. Hanley Ramirez gave Boston four hits, three runs driven in and two runs with Mitch Moreland scoring three times. The Boston Red Sox have named left hander Drew Pomeranz as Monday’s game four starter after allowing four runs in two innings in game two.
