The Washington Nationals head to Wrigley Field to oppose the Chicago Cubs in game three of the NLDS in MLB action on Monday.

The Washington Nationals rebounded from a poor offensive showing in the NLDS opener to log a 6-3 victory on Saturday to even the series 1-1. The Nationals were strong in all areas with starter Gio Gonzalez allowing all three runs on three hits and a pair of walks including two long balls over five frames for a ND before five relievers put up zeros. The Nats offense did their damage on six hits and three walks with Anthony Rendon going solo and scoring twice while Bryce Harper cracked a two run bomb followed by Ryan Zimmerman and his three run jack during a five run 8th inning.  The Washington Nationals hand the game three starting assignment to right hander Max Scherzer. Scherzer has enjoyed another strong campaign with a 16-6 record and 2.51 ERA.

I have to admit I was surprised the Nationals came to life Saturday and saved the series for now. Despite having Scherzer going I'm still not confident but this is a game that the Nats have to win in my view...
