The Houston Astros begin the ALCS with a few extra days of rest thanks to wrapping up their ALDS versus the Boston Red Sox in four games. Houston wrapped up the ALDS with a 5-4 win at Fenway Park with another strong offensive performance. Astros Starter Charlie Morton allowed a pair of runs on seven hits and two BB over 4.1 frames before Justin Verlander and Ken Giles gave up a run apiece in the final 4.2 innings.

Houston pounded out 12 hits and walked four times with Alex Bregman going deep while George Springer drove in a run and scored on a three hit effort followed by a Yuli Gurriel with a 3-4 night and a run. The Astros have named a Dallas Keuchel as the game on starter and is 15-5 with a 2.85 ERA.
The New York Yankees have advanced to the ALCS after a game five 5-2 victory at the Cleveland Indians on Wednesday night. New York simply outpitched and out the defending American League champions. Yankees starter CC Sabathia allowed both runs on five hits and struck out nine through 4.1 innings before David Robertson and Aroldis Chapman slammed the door shut with 4.2 innings of scoreless baseball.
The Bronx Bombers did their damage on eight hits and three bases on balls with Didi Gregorius leading the offense with a solo homer and a two run jack while Brett Gardner went 3-5 with a run and an RBI. The Yankees struck out 16 times and Gregorius was the only player that didn’t strike out. The Yankees opening the series with Masahiro Tanaka on the hill and he comes in with a 14-12 record with a 4.56 ERA.
