The Baltimore Orioles and the Houston Astros square off in game two of their three game set from Minute Maid Park on Tuesday.

The Baltimore Orioles will be looking to bounce back and snap their current 3 game losing streak following a 6-1 series opening loss to Houston on Monday. Trey Mancini’s solo shot was the only run on the board for the O’s, while Jonathan School and Colby Rasmus each added a double. Adam Jones went 2 for 4 at the dish while Chris Davis added a base knock of his own to finish the offense for Baltimore in the losing effort. Chris Tillman took the loss, falling to 0-1 after giving up four runs on seven hits while walking four over four innings of work. Mike Wright Jr. will start game two and will be making his first start since 2016. In his career, Wright Jr. is 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA and 4 strikeouts against Houston.

Houston Astros vs. Baltimore Orioles - 4/3/18 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Astros will look to stay hot after winning 3 straight and 4 of their first 5 games of the season following their game one win on Monday. Derek Fisher led the ‘Stros with a triple as part of his 2 for 3 outing with a pair of RBIs while Marwin Gonzalez added a solo home run. George Springer, Jose Altuve and Alex Bregman each added a double and an RBI to round out the scoring for Houston in the win while Josh Reddick, Brian McCann and Evan Gattis each chipped in a base hit to finish off the offense for Houston in the victory. Charlie Morton got the win after throwing six shutout innings, giving up just three hits while striking out six en route to the win. Justin Verlander will start game two for Houston and is 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA and 5 strikeouts this season. In his career, Verlander is 10-5 with a 3.71 ERA and 117 strikeouts against Baltimore.

Baltimore is 5-22 in their last 27 games overall and 1-11 in their last 12 games against a team with a winning record while the under is 17-4 in their last 21 game 2 of a series. Houston is 10-1 in Verlander’s last 11 starts and 21-6 in their last 27 home games while the under is 8-1-1 in their last 10 home games against a right-handed starter. Baltimore is 3-15 in the last 18 meetings between these two teams and 0-7 in the last 7 meetings between these two teams in Houston.

Sometimes you can make a case for a team and plus money, but this isn’t one of them. Baltimore has been flat out garbage dating back to last season, including against teams with winning records. You see Baltimore’s head-to-head record against the Astros and in Houston? Yeah, no thanks. The Astros have been money with Verlander on the mound, winning 10 of his last 11 starts, and I think that Houston makes it 11 in 12 with a win here. The only problem is negating the heavy juice, so I’ll play the Astros on the run line here.
