The Kansas City Royals conclude their visit with the Detroit Tigers in a Wednesday MLB tilt.
The Kansas City Royals leaned hard on their pitching on Tuesday and came away with a 1-0 victory at Detroit. Kansas City starter Jacob Junis tossed a three hitter over seven frames to win his first outing of the season.

The Royals were limited to five hits and a walk with Jorge Soler cracking a sacrifice fly that plated Cheslor Cuthbert who was 1-4 with a double. The Royals conclude their road series at Detroit with Danny Duffy on the bump. Duffy comes off of a 14-7 loss to the White Sox with five runs allowed on seven hits including three homers in four frames.
The Detroit Tigers need all the pitching they can get and the games have to be won when the arms come through. That didn’t happen Tuesday and an outstanding effort from starter Matthew Boyd went for naught with the lone run allowed through six innings.
The Tigers mustered only three hits and a base on balls with Mikie Mahtook, Jeimer Candellario and Victor Martinez posting singles. Left hander Daniel Norris makes his first start of the 2018 against visiting Kansas City. Norris made 18 starts and four appearances out of the pen and finished 5-8 with a 5.31 ERA.
Over is 13-4 in Kansas City last 17 Wednesday games and Kansas City are 12-4 in their last 16 Wednesday games. Detroit are 13-42 in their last 55 games on grass and Detroit are 14-44 in their last 58 overall and over is 25-8-1 in Detroit last 34 home games.
These teams already look like they are going to be a tough wager so I’m not interested so perhaps a small look at the over if you’re interested…
