The Detroit Tigers are on the road to face the Chicago White Sox in AL Central MLB.
The Detroit Tigers opened their series at the White Sox with a 9-7 ten inning victory where starter Jordan Zimmermann was charged with six runs over 4.1 frames before four relievers stopped the bleeding.

The Tigers amassed 17 hits with Niko Goldrum going deep and driving in two with two runs with Leonys Martin and Victor Martinez knocking in two runs apiece. Altogether, Detroit saw ten different players record hits with nine driving in runs or scoring.
Michael Fulmer heads to the mound for Detroit on Saturday for his second start. Fulmer was outstanding in a 1-0 loss to Pittsburgh with a run allowed over eight frames.
The Chicago White Sox blew a late lead with the bullpen support a strong offense in a series opening loss to Detroit. Chicago starter James Shields allowed three runs over five frames before Joakim Soria gave up three runs in the 9th and Gregory Infante allowed two in the 10th.
The White Sox totaled eleven hits with Yolmer Sanchez going 3-5 with a pair of triples and three RBI’s while Leury Garcia was 2-5 and knocked in two. Matt Davidson gave the CWS an RBI and four runs with Avisail Garcia scored twice.
The White Sox have named Lucas Giolito as Saturday’s starter against visiting Detroit. Giolito did not get a decision in a 4-3 win at Kansas City with three runs plated in six innings.
