Out at Progressive Field on Saturday, the Kansas City Royals and the Cleveland Indians will be continuing their MLB series.
In the Friday edition of this set, Cleveland eked out a 3-2 victory, with all the scoring in the game happening in the first inning.

For Saturday’s game, the Royals will be bringing out RHP Ian Kennedy. In his lone start this year, Kennedy went 6.0 innings and allowed four hits with one earned and five Ks.
Coming into this set, Cheslor Cuthbert, Jon Jay and Mike Moustakas were the top Royals hitters, each with four on the year. On Friday, Jay put up a pair of hits and a run, while Moustakas managed an RBI.
Over on the Indians’ side, they’re going with RHP Trevor Bauer on Saturday. In his 5.0 innings during his first start this year, Bauer put up five hits and two earned in a no-decision.
Heading up the Indians hitters coming into this one were Francisco Lindor and Yonder Alonso, with 10 hits and eight runs between them. In the Friday game, Lindorhad a run, but Alonso came up empty 0-for-4.
The Royals are 7-1 in their last eight during game two of a series and 1-4 in Kennedy’s last five starts. KC is also 1-4 in Kennedy’s last five starts versus the AL Central and the under is 5-0 in his last five road starts.
Meanwhile, the Indians are 8-1 in their last nine Saturday games and 18-6 in their last 24 in game two of a series. Cleveland is also 4-1 in Bauer’s last five home starts and 11-5 in his last 16 starts.
Both these teams have been pretty choppy so far, which is a mark of early-season baseball and what makes it so hard to nail down. Kennedy looked good in his first outing, but I don’t really trust the Royals offense to keep up. I’m going to stick with the Indians for the win here.
