The Minnesota Twins will look to bounce back after dropping game two on Saturday in a rout. Miguel Sano and Eddie Rosario each had a double and an RBI, with Rosario going 2 for 4 at the dish, while Eduardo Escobar and Ryan LaMarre each had an RBI to round out the scoring for the Twins in the loss. Joe Mauer and Ehire Adrianza each added a double with Mauer going 2 for 4 at the plate, while Brian Dozier added a base knock of his own in the defeat. Jose Berrios took the loss after giving up five runs on six hits while striking out seven over 4.2 innings of work to drop to 1-1 this season. Lance Lynn will start game three and is 0-1 with an 11.25 ERA and 3 strikeouts this season. This will be Lynn’s first career start against Seattle.

Seattle is 7-19 in their last 26 games against a team with a winning record and 2-5 in their last 7 road games while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games overall. Minnesota is 4-1 in their last 5 games overall and 9-1 in their last 10 home games against a left-handed starter while the under is 7-2 in their last 9 home games. The under is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings between these two teams in Minnesota.

I won’t lie, I was a bit surprised about the offensive outburst from Seattle in game two, but if you look at the lineup, the M’s are fully capable of performances like that, we just don’t see it as often as you’d expect. With that said, I think the Twins are more talented from top to bottom, but I’m not sold on Lynn especially after his first start, so I’ll take a stab at Seattle and the plus money here.
