The Houston Astros and the Minnesota Twins meet in game two of their three game set from Target Field on Tuesday night.

The Houston Astros will look to keep their momentum going after winning 3 straight and 9 of their last 10 games following a 2-0 series opening win over Minnesota on Monday. Marwin Gonzalez went 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI while J.D. Davis added the other run on the board for the ‘Stros in the victory. Carlos Correa went 2 for 4 with a double while Jose Altuve, Brian McCann and Jake Marisnick each added base knocks of their own in the winning effort for Houston. Justin Verlander got the win to improve to 2-0 this season after tossing seven innings of four hit shutout baseball, striking out nine en route to the victory. Ken Giles closed out the last batter in the 9th inning for his first save of the year. Dallas Keuchel will get the nod in game two and is 0-1 with a 3.27 ERA and 7 strikeouts this season. In his career, Keuchel is 2-2 with a 4.05 ERA and 21 strikeouts against Minnesota.

Minnesota Twins vs. Houston Astros - 4/10/18 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The Minnesota Twins will look to find some consistency after splitting their first eight games of the year, including Monday’s series opener against Houston. Jason Castro went 2 for 3 with a double while Joe Mauer and Eduardo Escobar each added two-baggers of their own in the losing effort. Brian Dozier and Max Kepler each contributed base hits of their own as Minnesota put up just six hits as a team in the loss. Lance Lynn threw five innings of three hit shutout baseball, walking four and striking out nine, not factoring in the decision. Taylor Rogers gave up a run in the 6th, taking the loss to even his record at 1-1 this season. Jake Odorizzi will get the call in game two and is 0-0 with a 2.61 ERA and 9 strikeouts this season. In his career, Odorizzi is 2-0 with a 0.47 ERA and 24 strikeouts against Houston.

Houston is 22-10 in Keuchel’s last 32 starts and 5-1 in their last 6 road games while the under is 6-0 in their last 6 games against the AL Central. Minnesota is 15-7 in their last 22 home games and 4-0 in their last 4 games against a left-handed starter while the under is 8-3 in their last 11 home games. Houston is 9-1 in the last 10 meetings between these two teams and 7-0 in the last 7 meetings in Minnesota.

I’m tempted to take the Twins at home with the plus money considering Odorizzi has stifled the Astros in his career, giving up just one run over 19 innings of work. However, the last start came in 2015, and the Astros have gotten a lot better since then. The fact is, Odorizzi, despite not having a loss this season, hasn’t looked overly great in his first two starts, and while you can say the same for Keuchel, it’s only a matter of time before he rounds out into his normal form and I think that could come here, so since the price isn’t too bad with Keuchel, I’ll lay the juice with Houston to go for the sweep on Wednesday.
