NY Yankees are 8-2 in their last 10 vs. American League Central and are 2-5 in their last 7 overall. Detroit are 16-35 in their last 51 home games and are 17-49 in their last 66 overall. NY Yankees are 5-0-1 in the last 5 meetings in Detroit.
The Yankees have been slow out of the gate but have a chance to do some damage in this doubleheader and I think this game is huge for the Bronx Bombers. Note-seeing Francisco Liriano showing up as Detroit’s game one starter?
