New York Mets vs. Milwaukee Brewers - 4/15/18 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

For the Sunday game, the Brewers will be bringing out RHP Jhoulys Chacin in the start. In his 13.2 innings and 0-1 mark this season, Chacin has a 6.59 ERA with seven Ks and seven BBs.

Heading up the Brewers’ lineup going into the weekend was Travis Shaw with 15 hits and seven RBI. In the Saturday game, Shaw put up two hits and a run.

Over on the Mets’ side, they’re rolling with RHP Noah Syndergaard on Sunday. Across 16.0 innings and a 2-0 record this year, Syndergaard has a 3.94 ERA with 22 Ks.

New York’s leading hitter coming into the weekend was Asdrubal Cabrera with 17 hits, 12 runs, three homers and five RBI to his name. On Saturday, Cabrera went 0-for-4.

The Brewers are 7-2 in their last nine Sunday games and 8-3 in their last 11 during game three of a series. The under is 14-3 in the Brewers’ last 17 Sunday games and 21-6 in their last 27 in game three of a series.

Meanwhile, the Mets are 8-20 in their last 28 Sunday games and 9-3 in Syndergaard’s last 12 Sunday starts. New York is also 15-31 in their last 46 in game three of a series and 10-1 in Syndergaard’s last 11 starts versus the NL Central.

The Mets have been out to a great start this year, and it will be interesting to see if they can maintain form. Milwaukee has some high points on their roster as well however, and when Chacin is on he can keep most lineups in check. That said, I’ve got to go with Syndergaard and the Mets here.
