Coming up Monday morning from Fenway Park, the Baltimore Orioles and the Boston Red Sox will be finishing up their MLB series.

For the Monday game, the Orioles will be bringing out RHP Andrew Cashner. In his 18.0 innings and 1-1 record this year, Cashner has a 2.50 ERA with 16 Ks and eight BBs.

Coming out of the week, the Orioles’ top hitter was Manny Machado with 20 hits, nine RBI, three homers and six runs. On Sunday, Machado managed a hit and the only O’s RBI of the game.

Over on the Sox’ side, they’re going with LHP Brian Johnson in the start Monday. Across his 10.0 innings and 1-0 mark this season, Johnson has a 2.70 ERA with 11 Ks and four walks.

Boston’s leading hitter entering this week was Mooke Betts and his 18 hits, 16 runs, two homers and 10 RBI. In the Sunday game, Andrew Benintendi had a big game with three hits and an RBI.

The Orioles are 4-0 in their last four in game four of a series, and 0-5 in their last five Monday games. The over is 19-7-1 in Baltimore’s last 27 in game four of a series and the O’s are 1-5 in their last six versus the AL East.

Meanwhile, the Sox are 1-4 in their last five in game four of a series and 6-0 in Johnson’s last six starts. The over is 5-1-2 in Boston’s last eight Monday games and the under is 3-1-1 in Johnson’s last five starts overall.

This should be a pretty good pitching matchup, all things considered. Both Cashner and Johnson have started out well, and should keep both offenses in check. That said, Boston is simply a better team across the board so I’m going with the Sox.
