For Tuesday’s matchup, the Phillies will be going with RHP Nick Pivetta. In his 16.2 innings and 1-0 record this year, Pivetta has a 2.70 ERA with 19 Ks and two BBs.

Philadelphia’s leading hitter this year coming into this set was Odubel Herrera with 16 hits, eight runs and three RBI. On Monday, Herrera managed a solo homer as the team’s only run.

Over on the Braves’ side, they’re sending out RHP Mike Foltynewicz on Tuesday. In his 15.1 innings and 1-1 mark this season, Foltynewicz has a 2.93 ERA with 18 Ks and five BBs.

Atlanta’s top hitter entering this series was Ozzie Albies with 20 hits, 15 runs and 11 RBI with five homers. On Monday, Albies came up with a pair of hits and a run.

The Phillies are 5-1 in the last six Tuesday games and 4-1 in their last five during game two of a series. Philadelphia is also 7-0 in Pivetta’s last seven starts and 2-6 in his last eight starts in game two of a series.

Meanwhile, the Braves are 1-6 in the last seven during game two of a series and 1-4 in Foltynewicz’s last five home starts. Atlanta is also 2-5 in Foltynewicz’s last seven starts with six days’ rest and 1-5 in his last six Tuesday starts.

This should be a pretty fun pitching matchup, as both these guys have done pretty well so far this season. Both offenses have performed fairly well this year also, but I’m leaning toward the Philly hitters here. Should be another close game, though.
