Up at Rogers Centre on Tuesday evening, the Kansas City Royals and the Toronto Blue Jays will be continuing off their MLB series.
The Monday game of this set was cancelled due to a hole in the Rogers Centre roof caused by falling ice damage. This will be the second installment of a doubleheader.

Danny Duffy will be making the start for the Royals on Tuesday. In his 15.0 innings and 0-2 record so far, Duffy has a 5.40 ERA with 15 Ks and eight walks.
Coming into this set, Mike Moustakas leads the Royals in hitting with 17 hits, nine runs and nine RBI with three homers. Whit Merrifield is second on the team with 13 hits, six runs and two RBI.
Over on the Jays’ side, they’re going with LHP JA Happ on Tuesday. Over his 16.0 innings and 2-1 mark this season, Happ has a 3.94 ERA with 23 Ks and five walks.
Leading the way for the Jays entering this set is Kevin Pillar with 16 hits, nine runs and five RBI to his name. Justin Smoak is also having a pretty good campaign with 15 hits, 11 runs and 10 RBI.
The Royals are 8-3 in their last 11 during game two of a series and 4-0 in Duffy’s last four Tuesday starts. KC is also 5-2 in Duffy’s last seven starts versus the AL East and 0-4 in his last four starts.
Meanwhile, the Jays are 5-0 in their last five Tuesday games and 5-1 in Happ’s last six Tuesday starts. Toronto is also 6-2 in Happ’s last eight starts and 19-7 in his last 26 starts during game two of a series.
Both these pitchers have played reasonably well so far; specifically Duffy has given up four earned across his last two but hasn’t gotten much support offensively in those. I’m not convinced he’s going to get the run support here either so I’m going Blue Jays.
