The San Francisco Giants are trying to rebound from a slow start to 2018 and the team blew a 2-0 lead with a run allowed n the 8th and 9th innings at Arizona. San Francisco starter Chris Stratton picked up a ND with a run plated over seven frames while striking out eight before Hunter Strickand received a BS with a run scoring in the 9th.
The Giants did their damage on seven hits and five walks with Evan Longoria going 3-3 with a two run homer. Ty Blach draws Thursday’s start at Arizona who he will face for the second time in his career. Blach will be looking to rebound from a 5-1 loss at San Diego where he was charged with three earned runs in five frames.
The Arizona Diamondbacks have been one of the hottest teams in the game and never seem to be out of any game. Arizona sent Wednesday’s game to extra innings behind strong pitching and some late offense. Diamondbacks starter Robbie Ray allowed two runs over six innings before turning the game over to the bullpen.
