Coming up from Oriole Park on Friday, the Cleveland Indians and the Baltimore Orioles will be kicking off their weekend MLB series.
The Indians are coming off a two-game set versus the Twins. Cleveland won the Tuesday game 6-1 but fell 2-1 on Wednesday.

The Indians will be bringing out RHP Trevor Bauer on Friday. In his 20.0 innings and 1-1 mark this season, Bauer has put up a 2.25 ERA with 21 Ks and seven walks.
Cleveland’s top hitter this year is Francisco Lindor with 15 hits, 10 runs, two homers and seven RBI. Close behind is Bradley Zimmer with 13 hits, five runs, one homer and three RBI to his credit so far.
Over on the Orioles’ side, they just finished up against the Tigers. Baltimore lost Tuesday 4-2 and Wednesday 6-5, then in the Thursday finale the Orioles got beaten 13-8.
The O’s will be rolling out RHP Dylan Bundy for the start Friday. In his 25.2 innings and 0-2 record this year, Bundy has a 1.40 ERA with 31 Ks and seven BBs.
Coming into the Detroit finale, Baltimore’s leading hitter was Manny Machado with 23 hits, seven runs, six doubles, three homers and 10 RBI. On Thursday, Machado had two homers with four RBI and three runs.
The Indians are 25-6 in their last 31 in game one of a series and 48-17 in their last 65 Friday games. Cleveland is also 11-4 in the last 15 following an off day and 0-4 in the last four versus the AL East.
Meanwhile, the Orioles are 5-16 in their last 21 Friday games and 3-12 in the last 15 during game one of a series. Baltimore is also 1-6 in Bundy’s last seven starts and 0-5 in his last five starts versus a team with a winning record.
Bauer has been pretty good so far this year, giving up just five earned across three starts, and his one loss came in a tough-luck 1-0 scenario versus KC. Bundy has been equally solid, but hasn’t won yet thanks to a tepid four runs of support across his last three starts. Thus, this should be a fun pitching matchup to watch. I’ve got more confidence in the Cleveland offense however, so I’m going Indians.
