The Miami Marlins and Los Angeles Dodgers meet Wednesday in MLB action at Dodger Stadium.
The Miami Marlins have a chance to win back-to-back games for the first time this season. The Marlins have allowed eight runs in their last three games and four or more runs in six of their last nine games. All six of the Miami Marlins victories this season have come when they’ve allowed three or less runs. Offensively, Starlin Castro leads the Marlins with 27 hits and eight RBI while Derek Dietrich and Miguel Rojas have combined for 45 hits and 10 RBI. Trevor Richards gets the ball, and he is 0-2 with a 6.16 ERA and 14 strikeouts this season. This will be Richards’ first career game against the Dodgers.

The Los Angeles Dodgers look for a bounce win after winning six of their last eight games. The Dodgers have scored eight runs in their last three games and four or more runs in nine of their last 13 games. The Los Angeles Dodgers have won six straight games when scoring more than two runs. Chris Taylor leads the Dodgers with 23 hits and eight RBI while Cody Bellinger and Yasmani Grandal have combined for 45 hits and 25 RBI. Clayton Kershaw gets the ball, and he is 1-3 with a 2.45 ERA and 35 strikeouts this season. Kershaw is 5-4 with a 2.57 ERA and 75 strikeouts in his career against the Marlins.
The Marlins are 1-4 in their last 5 during game 3 of a series, 6-21 in their last 27 road games and 1-6 in their last 7 Wednesday games. The Dodgers are 8-2 in their last 10 during game 3 of a series, 50-12 in Kershaws last 62 home starts and 50-13 in Kershaws last 63 starts. The Marlins are 2-4 in the last 6 meetings in Los Angeles, 1-5 in the last 6 meetings and the over is 43-19-6 in the last 68 meetings.
The Miami Marlins managed to claw a win last night, but they are still the worst team in baseball and haven't won back-to-back games since the end of September. Kershaw isn't getting wins for his efforts, but he's still the best pitcher in baseball and is allowing a .146 batting average with 23 strikeouts against current Marlins hitters in 103 at bats. This price is insane, but for good reason. I'll take the run line to add some sort of value with this bet.
