The Colorado Rockies visit the Chicago Cubs for Monday MLB action at Wrigley Field.
The Colorado Rockies look to get back in the win column following a 3-0 defeat at the Miami Marlins on Sunday. The Colorado offense stalled and a strong effort on the mound went for naught with starter Chad Bettis allowing two runs on four hits and a BB.

Colorado opens their series at Wrigley Field with Kyle Freeland on the mound Monday. Freeland comes off of his best outing of 2018 with seven scoreless frames and eight strikeouts in an 8-0 win versus San Diego.
The Chicago Cubs turned to their pitching Sunday with great success in downing the visiting Milwaukee Brewers 2-0. The Chicago offense didn’t do much but didn’t need to with starter Tyler Chatwood allowing two hits and three BB over seven scoreless innings.
The Cubs bats produced five hits and a pair of bases on balls with Addison Russell driving in a run and scoring. The Cubbies received another RBI from Chatwood while Anthony Rizzo scored.
Veteran left hander Jon Lester toes the rubber against the visiting Rockies on Monday. Lester absorbed a 4-1 loss at Cleveland last time out with three runs plated over seven innings.
Colorado are 8-3 in their last 11 road games and under is 21-9-3 in Freeland’s last 33 on grass. Under is 10-3-2 in Chicago last 15 Monday games and Chicago are 35-16 in their last 51 Monday games and Chicago are 11-1 in Lester’s last 12 Monday starts.
I thing the Cubs are a bit overvalued but I also believe they have an edge. I’m not touching the juice but I’ll throw this out there…
